Bodyguard is directed by veteran filmmaker Siddique. In this Malayalam movie Dileep and Nayantara play the leads in the film. This is also Nayantara's comeback to Malayalam films after a gap of four years. It is for the first time that Dileep had worked with filmmaker Siddique.
Popular choreographer-director Prabhu Deva choreographed the song sequences.
